Open the camtasia recorder and choose EFFECTS. Then slide to ANNOTATION and make sure ADD SYSTEM STAMP is ticked.
Then slide down to SOUND and make sure MUTE is ticked
And then down to CURSOR and make sure SHOW CURSOR is selected
STEP TWO:
Again on the EFFECTS tab choose OPTIONS
On the ANNOTATION tab please make sure the following are selected:

Still with the OPTIONS window open on the ANNOTATIONS tab click the TIME/DATE FORMAT button and check following matches
STEP FOUR:
Still remaining on the OPTIONS window click on the OPTIONS button and check following matches:
NB: System (time) stamp MUST be present on every recording and must NOT cover the task bar
Recommended choice is top right with a clear font face and size. Should stamp not be present or readable you risk a disqualification
The settings on the remaining tabs do not need to be altered.
STEP FIVE:
Next return to the camtasia recorder and select TOOLS then OPTIONS
On the CAPTURE tab make sure following are selected:

Still remaining on the CAPTURE tab click on FILE NAME OPTIONS button and check following:
STEP SEVEN:
Then click the VIDEO tab and check following:
Remember to click ok after each exercise to save settings
If settings are followed correctly you SHOULD achieve a relatively small file size
After going through these steps to setup your Camtasia, it is highly recommended that you do a test tape,
and make sure the timestamp is showing for the duration of the recording the recording is full screen,
the taskbar is visible at all times and the cursor is visible throughout the recording.
