Welcome to StraightShots Pool League. We play in Yahoo! beginner's room, All Mixed Up (AMU).
We are a friendly league and are always looking for new members to join our family.
If you are new to online pool or the Cases Ladder System, please take the time to review this

SIGNING UP FOR THE LEAGUE:

Playing in the StraightShots pool league is FREE [Click here to sign up now.]

Here are a few guidelines to follow when you are signing up:

• Ladder name: Needs to the the exact yahoo ID that u are going to play with. It will not let you join with a dot in your league name,
  so join without then go via [User Editors] and change it there.
• Password: the password you will use , do not share it with anyone!
• E-mail: you need to have a valid e-mail addy since important updates of the league will be send to you.
• Ladder Buxes: Check as many boxes as u can get and fill in the info YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE SPAM MAIL as long as you don't sign up for any of case's newsletters.
• Activate account: Check your e-mail for a 3-digit number and fill it in. The email comes almost immediately so if you do not get it, check your SPAM or Junk Mail Folder to see if it is there.

PLAYING LEAGUE GAMES:

League games are single games played against another member of the league. These can happen at any time. All you need to do is ask in the lobby:
" lg games anyone? " or " SS anyone? " If another member wishes to play, they will respond with "invite" or "inv".

When you have agreed to play a league game, the person asking shall create a table, and invite the other player. The table needs to be RATED, PROTECTED, And UNTIMED. Unless you ask the person before, and they agree. League games may also be played as any type of game (rules are on our main page) if both players agree.

The loser of a league game, MUST report the loss on the league page ASAP. This can be done via the Report Loss link on the main league page. Anyone found not reporting their losses within a 24-hour period will be penalized.

You may play each league member up to 15 times per day. If you have any problems in a league game, please don't hesitate to ask a member of the StraightShots staff.

REGISTER FOR A TOURNEY:

To find out when there are tourneys and what kind of tourneys they are, simply click on the [Trny Calender] link on the main league page.

Links to all of the types of tourneys and their specific rules can be found on the League main page.

Also, TD's will announce upcoming tourneys in the All Mixed Up (AMU) lobby.

To join a tourney from the Tourney Calendar, just click on the tourney you want to play in and the tourney main page will appear. From here you do the following:

1) Click on "register", then enter your ladder name, your password and check the "read the rules" box , then click on the register button and you entered the tourney.
2) Keep the tourney page up while you are playing in the tourney, you will want to refer back to it periodically to check the standings!
3) As soon as the tourney has started click on refresh, then click on "standings"

Once you are familiar with joining tourneys, you will see that you have 2 ways to join tourneys:

1) The Tourney Quick Jumps on the League main page. Just fill in the Jump #, your league name and password and you will automatically be registered and the tourney page will pop up.all set
2) The Tourney Calendar. (see instructions above)

REGISTER FOR PARTNERS TOURNEYS ( 2 x 2 ):

Partners tourneys or 2x2 tourneys are played as a team either as pick-your-partner or random-partners. To join a partner tourney from the Tourney Calendar, just click on the tourney you want to play in and the tourney main page will appear. From here you do the following:

1) Click on "register", then you will see that you have 3 options for joining:


Create a new team: To do this you put the dot next to the text box, type in your team name, make up a password for the team and then also add your details.

Join an existing team: To do this, put the dot next to the "join team" Dropdown menu, select your team from the list, put in the team password given to you by the person who made the team, then put your own details in.

Auto Team Locator: This is used for players that don't have a designated partner. Once the tourney is closed by the TD, the system will randomly partner any players that are registered as "Auto Team". To do this, put the button next to it, put your details in and join.

NOTE: There must be an even number of players registered as Auto Team, otherwise the system will randomly drop 1 player.

2) Keep the tourney page up while you are playing in the tourney, you will want to refer back to it periodically to check the standings!

3) As soon as the tourney has started click on refresh, then click on "standings"

PLAYING TOURNEY GAMES:

Once you have entered a tourney, please follow this procedure for playing the tourney games:

1) Find out who you play either by the standings page or by the announcements of matches of the hosting TDs

2) The tourney games are played according to the rules of that particular tourney. The rules for all tourneys can be found on the main league page or on the TDs trny page under the RULES link

3) After the match is done, both players announce in the lobby if they won or lost.  Here is an example: " <<<<<<< won vs [opponent name] vgg "
