General Rules

1. PROVISIONAL NAMES (i.e.: a name with less then 20 games) are welcome and may join and play in the Straightshots League.
2. No player may join Straightshots if their Yahoo rating is less than 1100.
3. To those existing TD members wishing to do a name change, this will also apply.
If you do change your name, you must notify an Admin or Head TD so that the change can be circulated to the members.
4. GHOST NAMES, deflated names and any otherwise manipulated names will NOT BE PERMITTED in the league.
5. Boosted names are OK - It is of no consequence to league players when, if you win, you dont win much and if you lose, you lose a heap.
6. No Forced Forfeits "FF" under any circumstances. This includes, quitting and forfeiting on your opponent
or yourself before a game has ended.
7. Members are asked to NOT boot fellow SSers from a table at anytime, you may request that they leave but NOT boot.
8. Sportsmanship is an expected requirement with Straightshots. Remember to use common sense
9. Foul language in not accepted at any time in either the lobby or the game tables.
A mandatory penalty of 24 hours is standard but not limited.
10. Deliberately causing trouble in the lobby will not be tolerated.
11. Any dispute or other issue that you may have against another member, or staff member, must be taken private table
and NEVER aired in the member's forum or in the lobby. Failure to take it private shall result in a 'no appeal' minimum
penalty of Category E and a maximum penalty of Category D.
12. Matches must be reported either before another match is played or within 12 hours. If someone has not reported a league game
      that you have played based on the criteria just mentioned then you may file an unreported match and will find the link to that on
      the Main Page, left hand side. It is imperative that you include the time, month and day that the match took place.
      Without this information, it may result in the match not being reported at all.
      Those who fail to report, admin will report it for you and you will be penalized for an unreported match.
      Three unreported matches with penalties may result in either being boxed or banned.
13. Any form of cheating is unacceptable. This includes, the proven use of aiming assistance programs, leaving on the 8 ball,
bringing up the cancel box and FF if your opponent gets booted. Other forms of cheating will be looked at on an individual basis.
14. You are only allowed ONE account with the league. If more then one account is detected it may result in ALL accounts being
deleted and that includes all bux and match histories.
15. It is your responsibility to make sure you have a valid Email address. If one is found to be invalid it may result in your name
being removed from the league. Updating this can be done under User Editor on the main page.
16. Those with a league name deemed unsuitable will be asked to change it. ( That Includes Lg IDs With Cuss Words In Them )
Failure to comply with a reasonable request to change will result in a ban.
17. Should you find it necessary to withdraw to rebuild a bux balance then you are NOT to do so until completion of any
tournament you are in at the time, irregardless of whether you have been eliminated or not.
18. Admins can help you with restoring your stats but can only do so if you give them notice that you intend withdrawing and then rejoining.
19. No member is to ever bring the name of the league into disrepute; either in the lobby of our homeroom
or in any other room by spamming or in any other way.
20. The ‘purple ball” break is prohibited in Straightshots – this is when both the 12 ball (purple stripe)
and the 2 ball (blue solid) are sunk off the break.
21. Any member that repeatedly withdraws and then rejoins the league and it is thought that the reason is to renew stats
then such member will be penalised with 14 days in the penalty box
22. If you wish to withdraw to get more bux then you are to wait until an Admin or a HTD is online and contact them prior to withdrawal
so that your stats will be preserved. Failure to follow this procedure will result in a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 14 days
in the penalty box. Such penalty to be decided by the imposer
23. Races are not recognised as a legal match in our league - period.
Any member suspected and/or caught 'racing' will be subject to a 3 day penalty.
24. Any complaints about any rule violations are to be substantiated with a screenshot and forwarded to the HTD in charge of complaints.
